Chemical engineering is a field of engineering that deals with studying and designing chemical plants as well as making new methods of improving production. Chemical engineers use principles of physics, chemistry, math, biology and economics to efficiently use, produce, design transport and transform energy into materials. They are also involved in plant design and operation, safety and hazard assessments, process design and analysis, modeling, control engineering, bioengineering, construction specification and operating instructions.       Chemical engineers normally hold a degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering. Practicing engineers may have professional certification and be accredited members of a professional body.     Biochemical engineering stems from Chemical engineering and it mainly deals with the design, construction and advancement of unit processes that involve biological organisms.     Education for Biochemical e ngineering is not a major that many

Industrial Engineering

Industrial Engineering is a profession mainly dealing with optimizing complex, processes, systems or organizations by developing, improving and implementing systems of, people, money, knowledge, information and equipment. This type of engineering is central to manufacturing operations.     I ndustrial engineers need specialized knowledge in math, physical and social sciences, together with engineering analysis and design principles to specify and predict the results obtained from a process.     Its been suggested that Leonardo da Vinci was the first  industrial engineer due to him examining that rate at which a man could shovel dirt, and its also been suggested to that the profession grew from Charles Babbage's study of factory operations on straight pins.     Interchangeable parts were a big part of  industrial engineering, they enabled individual mass-produced parts to be used in any finished product. The result of making these reduced the ammount of skilled specialized worke
